Summer is a time that we tone down our beauty routine. Warmer weather leads to more sweating, and running eyeliner isn't exactly the beauty statement I'm looking to make this summer. While we readily change our makeup looks, our skincare regime is often overlooked. Here is my go-to routine, morning and night, for perfectly fresh summer skin. Morning: Cleanse: Cleansing is the most important thing you can do for your skin. You might think, I just slept all night what can be on my face? But it's important to cleanse in the morning, especially during the summer when you're often sweating throughout the night. A creamy cleanser like our Iceberry Cleanser removes dirt and oil without stripping skin of moisture. Tone: I've been loving our Iceberry Toner. Made with lingonberry extract and iceberg water it rebalances your skins precious PH levels and leaves skin lightly moisturized and fresh looking. Protect: Sun screen is your number one anti-aging tool. Most of the sun damage that shows up later in life as age spots and wrinkles are caused from not protecting your skin earlier on. Our Sun Goddess facial sun screen has an SPF of 20, is rich and creamy, made with Vitamin E and Mango butter. Apply with a gentle touch and let sit about ten minutes before applying makeup. Night: Cleanse: Please don't go to bed with your makeup on! Sweat, dirt and oil accumulate on your skin throughout the day, the best thing you can do to have healthy, glowing skin is to cleanse thoroughly before sleep. After all, that's when your body repairs itself so give it a head start with a clean slate. Scrub: I like to scrub my face about 3 times a week. My skin is on the drier side and I find that scrubbing makes it look fresh and dewy. I love our Bake Apple Bliss Sugar scrub, its gentle enough for the face and can be used on the body as well! Tone: I always tone my face after cleansing to replace the PH and moisture levels of my skin. Massage: This is a great thing to add to your nightly routine. Massage promotes cell turnover, which means you will look refreshed and renewed. I love our Botanical Bliss Serum which is made for problematic skin. Moisturize: Finally, your skin needs moisture to look its best. I always apply Labrador Tea Crème on my nose, cheeks, chin and forehead before bed and Rose Petal Eye Crème under and around my eyes. If you find that your skin doesn't need this much moisture you can omit the serum and instead massage your night crème in, or vise versa. The more attention you pay to your skin the better it will look, it takes a few weeks but once you get into the routine you won't think twice about hopping into bed with your makeup on! XO Jasmin
