Juicing organic fruits and vegetables is one of the most powerful health habits you can cultivate. Not only can juicing leave you with an all-natural glow, it can help with healing chronic disease and flushing out toxins from the organs. If you're struggling with acne or other aggravated skin conditions, learning to detox your body with the power of juicing is a must. To be successful on your quest for flawless skin, it helps to know what veggies can serve as potent detoxifiers so you can create juice combinations that serve you best. Kale is a powerful leafy green vegetable that packs a mean acne-fighting punch. Kale, which is an incredibly effective anti-inflammatory food, is an excellent source of nutrition, including vitamins A, C, K, E, B1, B2, B3, calcium, beta-carotene, phosphorous, iron, copper, magnesium, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and the carotenoid lutein. Our bodies convert beta-carotene into vitamin A, a form or retinol. Many of you are familiar with retinoids in cosmetics that can be used to treat acne, keratosis pilaris, and the appearance of wrinkles. The vitamin A content in kale helps increase the rate of cell turnover and reduces dryness. Because Vitamin A is fat-soluble, excess can be store in fat and in the liver therefore, it is preferable and safer to get beta-carotene and vitamin A from a food source like kale as opposed to a supplement. What you’ll need:- 5 large leaves of kale, - 1 large green apple - 2 stalks of celery - 1 inch piece of fresh ginger - 5 to 8 leaves of fresh mint Simply place everything in your juicer and serve over lots of ice! One thing to keep in mind when enjoying fresh juice is to always have them within 15 minutes of preparing the juice (in order to get the maximum vitamins and nutrients out of it) and it is also best enjoyed on an empty stomach. Why? Because when you’re juicing, you’re enjoying a lot of healthy fruits and vegetables but without the fibers they have. So if your stomach is full with other fibers, that’ll make it harder to absorb the good stuff in your juice. Either have it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, or make sure it has been at least 2 hours since your last meal. Easy enough, right?
