Magical New Beginnings & A Gorgeous Giveaway!

Isn't change wonderful? We are so excited to start the next chapter of Indigena with our new branding. We are so moved and inspired by the northern lights that our first collection is aptly called "AURORA Magical" Seeing the magical dancing lights of the aurora was one of the most beautiful natural wonders that inspired Lisa to rebrand. The Canadian north, nature and the expansive white landscape of winter are all reflected in this collection.

We wanted to celebrate this new rebirth of Indigena with a giveaway that is special and inspired by aurora borealis. Included in this most special contest is Aurora beaded earrings from Dixon Designs, a young indigenous artist from Newfoundland. You can find her colorful artistic earring photos on Instagram @heiddixondesigns and she has an Etsy shop

Then we have a skincare gift set from our new collection including our new Aurora Magical Bath Salts, Lip Tint, Bath Bomb and Zero Waste Facial Soap. We've included our cult favs Sea Veggie, Lab Teas and Rose Petal Eye Cream.

To celebrate new beginnings we have some locally made Third Place Tonic (@thethirdplacecocktails) A step up in the preparation of a perfect gin and tonic. Paired with a bottle of our favourite gin - Ungava Gin  ( This is made with rare botanicals from the Canadian North. Arctic Botanicals of Nordic Juniper, Labrador Tea, Cloudberry, Crowberry and Wild Rosehip give this elixir its golden hue.

About the Artist Heidi Dixon:

Heidi Dixon is a member of the Gwich’in First Nation, and grew up in Gander, NL. Now living in Mount Pearl, in her free time she runs a successful business, Heidi Dixon Designs, selling her handmade beadwork online.
Heidi’s first introduction to beading was at a workshop held at First Light in 2015, and she immediately fell in love with the craft. For the past six years, she has been practicing and honing a variety of skills and methods. Mostly self-taught, Heidi has grown more passionate with each piece she makes, and takes great pride in her culture she can connect with through her art. From tiny stud earrings, brooches, keychains, or dangle earrings hanging 16 inches in length, there isn’t a style that she won’t at least give a shot! Recently, Heidi has been selling her work in series, where she makes several pairs of earrings in different styles, around a similar theme. Her last launch was the Technicolour Series, featuring 55 pairs of earrings focusing on bringing out the bright
colours in each pair.
Heidi uses social media to showcase her work, and also to announce upcoming series. You can follow her on Instagram (@heididixondesigns) or Facebook (Heidi Dixon Designs) to check out her past work, get sneak peeks of upcoming work, and updates on her next launch. Heidi’s also over on TikTok (@heididixondesigns), where she shows some behind the scenes videos on her process, as well as tutorials for others wanting to learn about beading!
Heidi has shipped her beadwork all across North America, and also offers free local (contactless!) pickup in Mount Pearl for anyone in the St. John’s area. Heidi currently sells on Etsy, and you can visit her shop to check out her available pieces at
